I need a new (spare) key for my 2016 Leon FR, ive been to Timpsons locally and they are quoting £300 for a new key and to code it. A bit of google homework tells me i can't code the key myself like the older models, so im looking elsewhere to try to find one a bit cheaper. Has any members found...

I have a '96 Toledo and need a new key. Obviously the new key will need to have the transponder programmed to the ECU. Is there anywhere that can do this from the VIN, or is it a main dealer cost a packet job?

i know that people on here will know this as you lot seem to know everything. i would like to know if that vag com can program a transponder chip in a key ? and if so how to do it. plus is there anyone with vag in portsmouth area.

I've managed to muller the transponder in the spare key trying to get it out. The flip key i purchased has a transponder inside, but it most probably has been programmed to a vw car. I know it can be reprogrammed, but I cant seem to find a place, or if anyone has Vag-com and knows how to do...

How the f**k do you get the transponder out of your spare key (non remote) without breaking it? it looks very fragile and seems to be almost fused to the case! any tips would be much appreciated before I smash it off the wall! [:@]

As I knackered my transponder in my spare key, if I get another key from ebay and remove the transponder can it be programmed to my car via vagcom? Or is it a dealer only jobby

I've managed to source the transponder for the MK1 Leon.So if there's any of u out there who managed to break their's ,there is a solution.The transponder is a virgin 48 glass transponder.I've ordered 10,so if u need one contact me.:)
