Basically I want to put a dump valve on my car. Does anyone know how to do this on the 1.2 tdi engine?

Omg forge make an item that will actually make u lose power hahahahahahahahahaha

...not exactly. Iirc it takes a small amount of compressed air from the intercooler pipes stores it and releases it when the throttle is released from full throttle position much like the "speaker" dump valves which do th same but have a tweeter mounted that makes the noise

Fair does. Just wanted that bit of noise that comes from a dump valve. I'm not bothered about speed or performance, I have a 1.2 tdi so that's enough for me. So why can't you put a dump valve on a tdi?

Lol, seriously man, don't even think of fitting a dump valve on a 1.2tdi even if it was possible, that's just wrong :D

There's another thread on here somewhere with more info, someone asked the exact same question but they had a tdi with poke.

It was me. I researched a bit and it looked expensive and would make me look like an idiot at the end of the day so never bothered

Open cone often leads to heat soak - stick with the standard filter as its been proven time and time again that this is all a diesel requires unless you're running daft power.

The item that you'd fit to the diesel engine is called a "blow off valve" not a dump valve, doesnt matter if its fitted to a diesel or petrol it works in the same manner in that it "dumps" excess boost pressure to atmosphere which apparently prevents the turbo over spinning during gear change, its yet to be utilised by any major names which makes me doubt its credibility but its a nice thought and some people enjoy the noise.
