Thanks for that very useful info, any idea's what's involved in the modification?
.
the relay is removed from its current location, the wires are extended to under the bonnet and the relay is fitted to a new housing in front of the battery,be about 2-3 hours work i reckon.:)

Hi,

Thanks for the additional info, how'd you come about knowing about the specific tpi to cover this?

Any others we should be aware of with the Mk5 Ibiza :)

Thanks.

No problem,I work at a SEAT dealership so have access to tech info from the factory,
I keep my eye on the forum and if there are known problems with a fix i,m happy to pass on the info to get your cars sorted.
cheers

Much appreciated I shall be popping to my local seat dealer tomorrow morning to see if they can arrange for this to be done on my car.

Cheers,

I'm sure your input is very much appreciated Fusster, I'm not going to bother with this particular fix personally, but I'm sure that there are those who will.
Thanks again !

No more Relay Clicking

Hi,

Just to let you all know in case you're interested I've had the TPI carried out on my car this week, after a bit of a delay to get the parts as the wiring loom adapter was on back order.

I can report that it's a complete success no more tick-tack from the fuse box area under the dash, why they put this relay there in the first place is beyond me :D
