1.2 TSI engine "stuttering"

I've noticed in the last month or two that sometimes my 1.2TSI sort of "stutters". This happens usually when I've been cruising at 60-70mph, take my foot off the power for a few seconds then put the power back on again, it just stutters a little as it's picking up the power again. There's no warning lights coming on or anything and it doesn't cause a major problem but I'm just a little concerned.

I've put V-power fuel in the last couple of times thinking it could be some gunk in the engine or perhaps I need some injector cleaner or something??

Any suggestions what could be up?

The engine is a 70,000 miles and recently had a timing chain change. The stuttering I think was happening before the chain change.

I'm far from an expert, but your symptoms sound similar to my EGR valve woes (mine would stutter when changing gear and feeding the power back in) which ironically didn't always show a warning light / error code.

Age and mileage would make it a candidate.

Nice it was something so simple, they should be replaced every 60.000Kms, don't know the number in miles.
