Just a quick one for the hybrid owners, what kind of MPG are you getting driving in hybrid mode, using both the engines? And which mode do you find best for driving in? Picking up a 245 hybrid and I’m hoping I can use it mainly in electric mode to and from work, as it’s only a 7 mile drive, then hybrid mode on a weekend for pottering about

I’ve had mine a week and overall I’ve averaged 175 mpg with mostly full ev use and one 120 mile journey which was largely hybrid.
Looking at mid 50’s in hybrid with battery left and 40’s on low charge.
I’ve got addicted to now not using any petrol at all tho!

I didn’t specifically want one for the MPG, it was the availability which was the main factor for me, but when I thought about the money I’ll be saving by plugging it in, it would be daft not to! How much does it cost for an overnight charge, if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m not on a cheap overnight tariff yet so it’s around £2 a night for a full charge.

when I go onto a off peak tariff it will be 50 pence.

It really is hard to say - as my experience with my hybrid of several months is that its battery range is erratic and very unpredictable. My home/work journey is under 7 miles and to be honest if I get there & back on one charge I'm lucky. A hill drains the battery quickly, the colder days seem to drain the battery fast. Performance is good, and a nightly charge means most days - I'm 100% Petrol free.

Since first refuel getting 70mpg with 100 miles on the motoryway in cupra mode but the battery only providing 14 miles these days so using sone fuel around town aswell. Mine cost me 55p to charge overnight

Hi, I am from Croatia so sorry for my english.
I have canceled my order for a 2.0 TSI 245 DSG and decided to buy a 1.4 e-hybrid 245. The plan is to drive mostly on electricity. But after this article, I'm interested in how much you can drive on electricity. Can you share your experiences.
