if you've read my post on ickle ibiza's Mustang dyno power run figures...

whats that place like bill ? the engine in the street rod is on the engine dyno this week after we rip it out (road run in) gonna try that mustang dyno to run some 60ft setups we wanna try

aiming at mid to high 7's :p

PS - forget mickey thompsons - latest developments showing BFGoodrich's drag radials are the way to go - i'll let you know in march how it all gets on fitted together - seen nearly all of em bumper scraping at the world nationals last week

take one tube chassis add a fibreglass '34 ford body - mix in a 2sp auto on a 540ci ali blocked/head ford engine - chuck in 800 bhp of giggle gas and lets see what happens :p - estimated 2000bhp+ and a 1/4 mile in 7.5sec @ 195 mph

bigger chutes now fitted :worship: and NO i dont wanna drive it  u think I'M mad

not bad for a road legal - and driveable car on optimax and treaded tyres eh ;)

The Tewksbury place would be ok for vehicle simulation. They do drag stuff after all. I just dont agree with their power figures, that or EVERYONE elses dyno is VERY optomistic (even on bog stock cars)
the 0-60, 1/4 mile simulation stuff was good fun..

Bill, do you think an IHI'd Ibiza is up to doing 1/4 mile runs?

I'd hate to buy some good drag tyres only to find that the driveshafts can't handle it!

Ben

Dunno Ben..
1/4 mile aint my cup of tea,.

Clio Cup....0-100 in 14 seconds........ehemm hand over mouth 'Bulls*it'.

Thats the best joke ive heard in ages.
I want whatever this guy's been smoking.........

An impreza sti will only do 0-100 in about 14 seconds.

post some vids and i might beleive you.

Sounds like pub talk to me.

14.195 sec sec
2.274 sec - 60 ft
98.0 mph
Right lane

Got the time slip and a video of me beating a classic WRX when doing that time. I take your post as a compliment.

Only mods on car are a R sport ECU (gives no peak hp gains) Janspeed silenced de-cat, magnex exhaust and panel filter and it had the back seats removed (Cup only has a sh1tty bench so weighs bugger all) So thats 14.19@98mph with only 181 hp and 155 lb ft.

well..............hats off to you mate!........i will take all that back.

Thats bloody amazing!! :worship:

Where you running slicks? There didnt seem to be much in it off the line.

I always wanted a scooby as i thought they were the be all 'and' end all when it came to quick cars..........but youve made me change my mind now!

what sort of 30-70 times do you get may i ask??

I have driven a 172 cup and to be honest it didnt feel as fast as my mates scooby.
Thinking about it though, i think its when the turbo kicks on turbo cars that makes you feel as if you are accelerating at warp speed when in reality......your not :roflmao: :roflmao:

There isn't much in it off the line because I got a stupidly good reaction time and he got a decent 60 ft but not a brilliant one. Tyres are just Eagle F1's. I raced that guy 3 times on the day and beat him everytime (on one run he slapped me off the line but I passed him at about 95 coming upto the line) :D My 30-70 time must be in the high 5's as my bros P1 can't pull on me 10-75/80 (rolling in 1st gear)

It was just a normal WRX (M plate, exhaust mod not sure what else) lets face it if it was a classic STi it would have slapped me so it's got to be a WRX.

Better let this thread get back on topic or it might get closed, PM me if you want any more info. :)
