Hi all
2010 1.4TDi Ecomotive, 90k miles, mostly motorway. I can drive 50 miles with light accelerator and not much more than 2.5k rpm = no flashing glowplug light. 1/2 mile with heavy accelerator and 4k rpm = flashing glowplug light and limp mode. Possibly EGR issue? Switch off and switch on, glowplug light and limp mode disappear. Engine management light now on permanently. I have a generic OBD2 code reader (when I can find it), will this read VAG codes for EGR issues?
I can't see a brake light switch in the footwell, there is a switch very close to the master cylinder in the engine bay. 3 wires to switch, has anyone worked out which wire does what? If so, is it possible to to disable the "brake_pedal_is_being_depressed, so_don't_allow_ the_ engine_ to_ be_revved" feature?
