Well I'm coming up to my 18 birthday (well 5 months...) and 1 year NCB hopefully, so can only really afford the 1.6 just now.

Would like the 2 litre, but save up for a Cupra

+ anything will be quicker than my 1.4 mpi!!

Keep the 1.4, you can have loads of fun in that until your insurance is bearable.

^^Agreed stick with the 1.4, for the difference you'll see stepping up to the 1.6 (probably none!) you'll save money sticking with the 1.4!

1.6 is miles better than the 1.4 I've owned both but saying that I had the Cupra at 18/19 and it was only £50 more to insure than the 1.6, the 1.6 was only £80 more than my 1.4.

I'm sure there will be a big difference, as I have heard from alot of the owners that they are good, all the reviews say they are good, and afterall it is 100hp compared to my 60 at the moment

I think with the way insurance is at the moment the Cupra is ALOT more than the 1.6, if I remember correctly the Cupra was around £2,500, the 1.6 around £1,300 (what I payed for my insurance this year when I'm 17 for my 1.4)
