1.6 runnig on 3 cylinders :(

I was just cruising along in my leon 1.6 tonight and it started makin a funny noise(a bit like a scooby). Then i came to a junction and realilsed i was really under power.. got out to have a look and it sounds like its missfiring/running on 3 cylinders
Has anyone got any suggestions on what could be wrong??

spark leads/spark plugs? same thing happend on my 1.6 golf, one cylinder wasnt firing and could only do about 85.

changed them all and all was fine.

As James said.....although think the 1.6's used HT leads rather than coilpacks IIRC.

Thanks guys.. ill check my plugs now will the plug thats in the cylinder that isnt firing be fouled?? or will the engine shut of fuel to that cylinder when it realises that it isnt firing?? and it does have coilpacks and each plug

Plugs are fine.. think its the coilpack. Anyone got any idea how much they are?? are they easy to come by?? cheers.

circa 20 quid for a coilpack.

euro car parts, gsf, vwspares all do them

or you local dealer will.
