i've done some reading on previous prices for Cambelt change for the 1.8T, is it the same for all 1.8T, i.e. LCR 225, FR 180 etc.?

from reading about, and being a perishable item, alot of the concerned general consensus i've seen is 4/5 years or 40-50k miles

hence looking about

anyone got any decent prices?

midlandVW.co.uk

think are sub £300 parts and labour Inc Vat and metal water pump thing

Petrol engines used to be up to 110K miles with checks up to then.
However SEAT are now advising to replace ALL belts at 4 years

my seat dealer said 120,000 miles!! just checks up till then
dont no how they check it , sounds silly

Thats what it says in the manual too... "Every 120,000 miles: Toothed belt for camshaft drive: replace (only petrol engines with 5 valves per cylinder). Only says check condition at 60k.

I does however say that the TDI's belt should be replaced at 60k.
