Alright mate ,

any left open pipes wont be connected to the engine ,

im more intrested in the reason behind the check valve being were it is ???? .

cant see it in daemorgans guide . Personly id take that valve out of the loop and see if its any better .

problem is with out been there seeing/driveing your car any attemp at diagnosing your issue is made ten times harder . so any advice you recive on a forum is always best guess based on the info youve provided mate
.

hope you get it sorted mate

what does the check valve do?

I've tried looking at various different diagrams from when people of done theirs and I think mine's been done correctly?

yeah looking thru some old docs i have does show a way with a check valve , so must be a different way of doing it .

Just wondering , is the line after the valve for a boost guage ? , is it a boost only one or does it show vacuum too , its just if it is ,with that valve you wont see any vacuum on the guage .

i said what i said as somthing to check , if its sound, then its somthing else .

can you log your Maff and N75 duty? blocks 002 and 118 on vagcom , could be a number of things really , if you can get some logs up it will help a lot

all the best

Yeah i've got a boost gauge, and it shows vacum!

I'm gonna be buying vagcom in the next few days so will be able to look when it arrives

ok the pipe aint to the boost gauge then ,if it is then the valves buggerd ,or been tamperd with to make a connector .

one way means one way , the way its aligned if functioning correctly would only allow boost thru , if of course the line question is the boost gauge feed !!

Tbh Thinking about it i think it is a tamperd valve as a connector , if it worked your guage would stick at the peak boost ,and you wouldn't show vacuum .

anyway good luck with vagcom mate , its a qaulity bit of software

Thanks for all your help :)

Got VAGCOM this morning, plugged in and I have no fault codes showing. No idea tbf. Apparently might be my MAP sensor, but i'm not throwing money at the car aimlessly. Will wait until the problem gets worse (if it does) otherwise I can live with it

A faulty coolant temp sensor can also cause erratic idle and the like. Its a very cheap part too..

Hmm maybe i'll investigate that then. Ideally rather than spending the money straight away i'd test it with someone else but I don't know anyone else with a Cupra :(

mine doesnt have an erratic idle idles spot on, just seems to boost up in first n second when only touching throttle initially then dumps of then is ok? hard to explain haha
