What should peak boost be on a mapped 1.8t ibiza fr. I'm aware it will differ between mappers
But is there a generally regarded max limit.

I'm getting 1.4 peak tailing off to 1.1 bar.

Afrs are high at 17.9 - 19;1 which means it's running very very lean. Not good

Supposedly it was remapped at p torque.

The requested boost value matches the actual value on vagcom very closely.

Question is this.
What would cause car to run very lean with no fault codes.
Changed fuel reg, maf plugs coil packs fuel filter, removed cat.

Suppose O2 fuel pump and injectors??
Any checks to rule these out.

Cheers Chris.

My 1.8T FR Ibiza peaks at 22.4 psi. Stage 2 Revo.
Think the usual top range for the k03s turbo is 22-24psi

I was just wondering about this. My ibiza is running 1.4 bar full boost which. Is 226hp and 275ftlb. Was thinking on standard internals im running too much torque.

More power less fuel

Usally this is because the mapper has done a job properly spending time on the ignition side of the map as opposed to just turning up boost and fuel obviously fuel still has to be ajusted but by less a percentage to keep a optimal afr. The trade off of this type of mapping is its much easier to result in pre-detonation if you get the map a little to advanced or a external parameter of the engine changes after mapping. Eg switching from 100 octane fuel when cars been mapped on this to 95 octane may result in predetonation.

I wouldn't be driving any turbo'd motor that was showing AFR's in the 17's on boost, that engine is going to be utterly ****ed really fast.

Whats the injector duty cycle like, have you checked fuel pressure, checked the MAF and stuff??

I last ran 296ft-lbs on a RR, about 4 years ago. No problems still going strong so your torque should be fine if you're mapped well. I only boost to peak 19-20psi and tails off to 17-18psi. That's an APR stage 2 map.

luckly i have found the root of the problem. the fuel pump was on its way out therefore not providing enough fuel at higher rpm. luckly we use dyno for all diagnostics work so car was never run on the road and inspection of the piston tops only shows a small sign of det although vag cars are somthoing we dont usally deal with im finding these cars pretty fun to work with both ecu wise and tuning wise.
ill llok up my last dyno run see what torque mine is running. just acquired a gt28 turbo and a large fmic will be interesting to map in. is there a bigger afm which i can use. ??

Is the current one out of range??
Current one is brand new and working 100% but was wondering if there was a bigger maf to go with bigger turbo intercooler etc. Few comments have said the 1.8t turbo is undersized when changing turbos. But not specified what to go for. Although have since read vr6 unit Is bigger.
