12v switched supply

Hi folks,
I am trying to install a parrot ck3100 into my 2007 toledo, which will be the same as the Altea, Has anybody fitted one before?, If so what way did you wire it?

My problem is I need a switched supply to go to it, i was going to use the ciggy lighter or I thought it would be a better job to use one of the spare fuses in the fuse box under the steering wheel, does any of yous know what ones are switched, the ciggy lighter fuse is there, but is it switched before or after the fuse?

Any help would be great

cheers

Pete

Switched supply

I wired a bury handsfree kit in my Altea . Take the switched supply from the fuse box . Use a voltage tester with one end on the fuse box side and the other on the negative side of the battery . if there is no power then turn the ignition on and hopefully you will see power going through . Hey Presto a switched 12v supply . Use a male spade connector on the end of your wire to go into the fuse box . You will probably have to trim it down with some wire cutters or small tin snips to get it to fit . Hope this helps , all the best Barry .

Peter, Guessing you're not a regular on here, but hope you get this. Did you find a 12V switched at the fuse box?

If anyone else knows where I can pick up a 12V switched feed for wiring in my new Parrot kit, I'd be most grateful.

Cheers

Phil

Red wire marks the spot, in case anyone ever needs it.

Hi!
Apologies for the newbie nature of this reply..
I recently bought a CTVSTX002 (google for info as I can't link)...for adding AUX input to my Seat Altea.. it works a treat - I have my ipod in the car and the stereo thinks it's a CD multi changer.

My next job is to hard-wire a charger for the ipod (second hand ipod off gumtree doesn't hold it's charge well). So I've bought this:
Google "APPLE iPOD Apple iPod / Touch / Nano series HARDWIRE DIRECT to BATTERY CHARGING CABLE" - first result is what I've got.
Any pointers on how to wire this in? I hopped on this thread as I thought the above might help, but I just wanted to check if someone had any recommendations before I go and make a balls-up.
Thanks!
