It's not the cold start thing mate as I've spoke to people who's had this with the cold start and once up to temp they don't have any problems mines doing it cold warm or hot. And if it is a sensor I wish it would hurry up and **** up so I can change it lol but again others I've spoke to said they've had it and it was due to a bad map so since nothing has shown up from the smoke test then sorting this revert on my Ecu is really my last option

I know someone who will put my Ecu back to standard very cheap

Unless it's a mate at a Seat dealer or a known good mapper like Bill, ******, Revo, Awsome GTI and a few others, then I wouldn’t let them near it. Where did your contact get the factory map from?

If you’re going stage two anyway, just live with it and drive gently. Then go to a forum sponsor for a good map and diagnostic session.

It's a friend ov a friend mate who a good mapper and he's done loads with no complaints so should be ok as I just want to make sure it is that first before splashing out on upgrades and I would be gutted if I did all that then a stage 2 just to have the same problem.

Thats not how this glitch works. Its to do with some sort of sensing at cold start. If you avoid doing a certain thing, you can avoid it. Sorry for the vagueness, I have it written down and don;t want to give the wrong info

Exactly what I said mate. Software it’s repeatable and consistent, hence if you avoid doing a certain thing, you can avoid it.

U carnt avoid mine tho I have done what everyone els has done with cold start leaks split pipes changed maf n75 all the bypasses removed sai the lot lol

And what if it's still there on this standard MAP?
You’re still stuck with a hardware fault.
Also some faults can go unnoticed at stock settings, things tend to become more obvious when you start with even a stage 1 map.

As you’re in West Yorkshire I’d take it to Awesome in Manchester and have it sorted.

It doesn;t matter if the car is hot or cold, if it is the glitch. But if you can keep the revs above a set limit when the car is on cold start, it won;t do it.

If your confident that you don;t have any leaks and the car is running properly, get the code mapped out and be done with.

Doing bypasses and removing SAI have absolutley no effect on it whatsoever

Can I not raise the rpm's using vagcom? Would that cure it for now as it only seem to come on like u say when I start the car on idle not when revs are on or am I just been stupid saying that?

That wouldnt work. It needs to be above 1400 rpm or something silly and vcds doesnt adjust that high

Argh right well i have tried that with the revs but think I only went to about a 1000 revs till it got to 90
