18" Space Saver on ST + Sound System - Where the jack is stored?

Hi all,

I've ordered a ST Cupra 290 with some options including Performance Pack (sub 8 in UK, 19"+Brembo+rockers) and Sound System.

As you probably now, to purchase 19" alloys replaces space saver for puncture kit what make me worry because is not hard to imagine "what a party" could be to have a side puncture on the night at B road without cell phone service...

Well, my intention is to buy a 18" space saver + toolkit to depend on myself in case of punture, just to reach the nearest wheels workshop. I know that if the punture happens at the front, I should to swap the rear 19" front and assembly space saver on rear because ET25 18" space saver will not fit front brembo calipers. (Maybe the reason because Seat don't offer space saver even as an option in my car)

My wonder is: Into a ST with 18" space saver + sound system subwoofer inside... Where the jack and tools are stored?

Looking for the ref's at ETKA I found several toolkit foams but is not 100% clear what is the right option.

Information from someone with a ST Cupra with Sound System and w/o Sub8 or with a ST FR with 18" space saver + soud system will help me a lot.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my mistakes writing in English.

Underneath the sub.

There's a polystyrene, molded tray that sits inside the spare wheel well; this houses the jack, etc. It has a large plastic bolt protruding out of it, upwards. The spare wheel sits directly over the top of this and in turn the sub sits directly on top of/inside the wheel.

The large plastic bolt passes through the whole assembly and is secured using a plastic locking (there's a recess in the sub so that it's all flush) There is a single connector to the rear of the sub.

All very easy to remove/replace.

Make sense?

Damo H & JMAC, thanks so much!

I guessed that It is like JMAC explains, but was not sure about if the spare wheel housing is deep enough to allow this assembly (polistyrene tray + space saver wheel)

Now its clear!

So, now I just need to confirm wich reference is this tray. Checking again ETKA with the information provided by you, it should to be this one:

(Aaaargh! with less than 15 post I could not link images :wtf:)

i61.tinypic (DOT) com/27xld74.jpg --> So sorry :cry:

@JMAC could you please confirm me that this shape is the same than your tray?

Thanks again mates, even Seat dealer is wondering about the right assembly for Sound System + 18" space saver on ST's. Your support is much appreciated.
