Why am I still stuck on the 1969 update and not the 1988?

Do you have a primary user assigned and privacy set to minimum on your infotainment system?

The previous owner indeed did not have it set to main user. I am the main user now, but still no updates these days. I have set privacy to no location sharing.

You need to have the privacy settings on share location.
