P Torque quoting the same sort of numbers for the 2.0CR TDi with dpf delete
Milltek are currently developing a DPF delete pipe for our engine, I'm hoping to install it to mine when it's done. I've got the Revo stage 1 map (will get stage 2 when the DPF is gone), and milltek cat back. Not sure what power I'll get after.
I hope you have a friendly MOT station.
DPF delete pipe will fail the MOT because you have visibly removed the DPF.
This is why people are having the middle removed from the DPF - so it still LOOKS standard.
Speaking to Milltek, they say that although its designed for motorsport use the MOT will depend on the map. Revo isn't too aggressive so both milltek and the guys at bespoke performance think it'll be okay. Either way though I've got a nice tester.
NOT correct - the new MOT regs say that if it LOOKS like emission control equipment has been removed ( CAT or DPF ) - it is a fail.
The DPF delete pipe will LOOK like you have removed the DPF.
If the system LOOKS standard ( insides of the DPF removed ) and it passes the MOT soot test then it is a pass.
Spoke to my MOT tester about this and he said diesels are assessed on the exhaust density, so having the delete pipe might not mean it will fail it but if its mapped badly it will fail.
Any other testers out there able to give their version
My next door neighbour is an MOT tester.
The new MOT regs tell the tester to LOOK for obviously removed CAT or DPF.
If you have obviously removed the DPF ( DPF delete pipe ) then it should fail the mot.
If you have had the standard DPF box emptied and it passes the soot test then it will pass.
Seat’s loss will be Kia’s gain…. New Kia Procee’d due in 10 days!
Had a look at those - just a pitty they dropped the 2.0tdi from the model.
In any case I'm in the process of fixing my motorbike so if I feel the need for speed and to be scared shitless I'll use that! lol It might be a 40 year old Italian sports bike but it'll still hit 60 in less than 5 seconds!![]()
That the way to do it. A man after my own heart. Can't beat a motorcycle for the speed and the freedom. Good luck with the repairs.
+1 couldn't agree more, not many cars will beat my Honda CB1000R to 60......lol
Dave, what is this Italian exotica you have?
Well I don't think that either you or Deano would have anything to worry about if you had a drag race with me on my on my old Italian bit or iron! lol
I have a 1978 Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans (MK1). It's got a 950 overbore and a proddy race cam and alloy timing gears..... Quite quick for an antique!![]()
