2.0 TSI Map figures?

what sort of figures did people get after a stage 1 map on their 2.0 TSI (210hp)?

i'm thinking of getting a map after adding CAI (ITG most likely) and a 3" Cat-back exhaust (Cupra-R type).

i'm not a big fan on removing the Cat due to the increased level of Fumes so a stage 1 would be best i think.

any ideas anyone??

As the first to respond I'll put my thoughts down. I think you'll be looking at 260bhp ish with no other mods.

With the mods probably around 275, decent fuel will be there or there abouts too.

On my FL Cupra, the rolling roads I put it on suggested that I gained 24bhp from a CAI and downpipe and sports (200 cell) cat.

Just had think, you get much performance from a cat back, mostly just a lider exhaust. The dienpipe and cat are the most restrictive part of the exhaust. FYI

I did some research and seems there is an alternative to decat- high flow sports cat. Its much more pricy so if my finance allows me to ill get that along woth the cat-back exhaust. Thats should free up enough power and give my exhaust a more aggressive tone.

Haha, just re read what I said, I'm impressed you managed to understand what I wrote. I was on the phone so it looked like I had a stroke while typing that. As I'm sure you know, I meant to say that you DON'T get much, if any, performance gains from just a cat back. The DOWNPIPE and cat are most restrictive part. I got a good deal when BCS did a deal for group buy. Got mine for about £400 ish, mated to the stock cat back system.

LOL you had me thinking there for a sec; decat yay or nay? After a few reads i managed to get the message. Thats actually a really good price. My mates got a BCS on his gti and sounds amazing! But his only got the cat-back and just a normal downpipe for the de-cat. Hopefully by summer i should have an exhaust upgrade.

I personally wouldn't go for a decat. It may be simple to put back on for MOT's but it's an effort to do. Stick with a performance CAT if you decided to go for it.

If you cheaply want to liberate a few hp on stock setup remove precat as not needed for mot. Allows better flow even with stock cat in place and better for turbo not having that 4inch honeycomb mass bang up against turbo almost like a dpf on diesel in its positioning. Fuelling has to be increased top end to allow for egt cooling because of exhaust restriction on maps to keep egts incheck because of reduced flow. Not as good as sports cat setup but step that way. Dont go decat not worth it for reasons already stated and not too much gain as opposed to sports cat.

i didnt even know of such pre-cat i will surely look it up. also i was planning to remap at R-tech so their site would probably best to look at regarding this. the standard decat is no longer an option for me i will not take that path. Cheers!

Yup, plus the BCS sports cat has high enough surface area that it provides almost identical flow to a decat anyway.
