Hi
I made a 2.5 TDI turbo conversion from Audi A6(couple of months ago), we fitted it to his Bora 130bhp 1.9 Tdi Sport, it was running but it was "kickin" really late(pulled really well when working), we tried to adjust it but failed, so he just bought another turbo and managed to put it back to standard, I was thinking about attempting it agen on my leon tdi 110, is it actually possible to adjust it? Did anyone attempt it on here?

I was told by one of the mechanics I went to that four cylinder in 1.9tdi isn't enough for that turbo, thats why it is "kickin" in so late because it didn't produce enough gas to "spin" the turbo earlier.

If you put a bigger turbo on you need a re map, injectors, afm possibly too.

Just sticking a bigger turbo on wont just magically work I'm afraid.

Car was already re mapped and had performance clutch kit on, straight through exhaust, egr delete etc

Mapped for existing turbo matey, still need a remap for the bigger one.

A bigger turbo being spun by a smaller engine will inevitably have some lag.

A good re map again, and hotter cams can compensate somewhat.

if you put different turbo you have to get it mapped for it mate. every turbo have different flow rates etc.
even if it was mapped before with the old turbo.

i want to put turbo from 3.0 diesel from bmw :)
have you got any picture of turbo and manifold? if you do can you send it to my email?

Ok, I understand, it is just that I wouldn't want to spend money on a remap etc and then find out it is not going to work, that's why I want to know if anyone done it before on here, thanx for a reply tho mate ;)

also turbo was still spinning for couple of seconds after letting accelerator off, if you didn't let accelerator of before 4200rpm,it kept spinning and pulling all the way to the limit, how can someone explain that?

cool mate. I am skimmed now but slowly and cheply i am gathering parts I need manifold for the turbo.

the best guy to talk to is ryan from darkside developments. he'll be able to tell you if its going to work. he has kits that put out big bhp with a larger turbo. give him a shout and see what he comes back with

hi, I have pics but it doesn't let me post pics unitl I get 15 post on here, and I don't really know how to send PM so I will get my post count up and I will put pictures on here

BTW I think if I decide to build anything with 2.5 tdi turbo, I will just "build" a hybrid out of 2 turbos
