......and I have finally fitted the de-lock kit & relocated fuse 38 - the kit has been sitting round since April 2005 !!!

Only one thing confused me, fuse 38 had a 15 Amp fuse in it, but it says in the manual it should be 10A ? I've asked another member and his is the same, so I have left it as it is...

It's been a busy modding weekend this weekend, I relocated the fuse, delocked the car, got a JBS short shifter fitted, Sachs clutch kit, green panel filter & bought a Sparco strut brace for the front (need to get that fitted soon).

Thats what bank holidays are for (well, and drinking & BBQ's too.....)

Big thanks to Daveyonthemove who helped me with a load of stuff, and of course, Pabs for his precious guides :D

Cheers

Fantastic mate - it's like a completely new car - the power is now amazing.

Only the front strut to do now & i'll be happy. Going down to Bell Auto's in the next few weeks for a power increase in my map - then i'll get it rolling roaded for a power figure :D

Posted in the JBS thread about the work done :)

glad you did it - even if it did take a long time LOL!

REF the fuse - it seems that 10A was used to start with (on earlier cars) but some people/garages switched to a 15A because the 10A kept blowing (hence the need for the fuse relocation)

Obviously SEAT decided on 10A for a reason - and it's safer for a 10A to blow, than to stick an extra 5A down the same system before it blows (potentially taking something else out)

HOWEVER:

if your car has been running fine with the 15A - I'd PERSONALLY not bother changing it - because it's sods law that you change something and the following day it goes wrong :(

No, it's just that if you de-lock the car and fuse 38 (cetral locking) blows, you can't get into the fuse box because you can't open the drivers door.

You can climb in through the boot, so if you've relocated the fuse, you can get to it to change it!

Aye - as above

Left everything as is, just relocated it, only took about 15 mins, easiest mod so far & much more secure :D

After removing the barrel & can see how the comfort feature is an issue...............

Just the front strut now & my mods are complete (until I get a lottery win lol)

Cheers guys
