So I've had my Leon for about 2 weeks now and its 'ken awesome! Bought it off my mate for £1,600 which was a bargain!

Mods...
It been chipped, not got a print-out but he reckons it was 215+bhp, its had a few other things done: Bilstein shocks and springs from Alan Jefrees in Plymouth, complete leend of a guy! Longlife stainless exhaust from the cat back which sounds awesome... nice quiet burble at low revs and roars when you give it the beans!

Here's me being very excited when Andy got it fitted, I'm sad like that

It's also got a Forge Split-R BOV, essential mod IMO

So I've had it two weeks its cost me a couple of hundred in fuel already.. but I love it, suspension is amazing, used to understear all the time, now its grip grip grip!

So first job was to fix the wonky back box... completely unacceptable! It was also blowing from somewhere a little.

Was an eay fix, the U-bolt had come loose meaning the backbox was only attached by the rubber mount :/

Prob not long till it comes off due to the driveway in the background!

Just ordered the Powerflex dogbone bush, looking forward to getting it on there!

Getting pretty excited about different mods, gonna be the cheap ones first tho

Wish List: opinions and recomendations are very welcome!

Uprated ARBs - not sure which yet perhaps F25 R28 - Its pretty stiff already but weight transfer in chicanes is starting to annoy me. All the ARBs I have found seem expensive for what they are, any idea if/which other OEM options there might be? (off an a3 or summin?)

Fabia rear wiper - Not too concerned with exterior mods but really like the look of these!

Stainless 3" DP and sports cat

DIY short shift - might attempt this at the weekend

Induction - Dunno whether to go for a panel filter or cone type...

FMIC - one day :/ (a long way off prob!)

Vented arches - Prob the DIY B&Q method from a thread on here!

Colour coding - I was set on colour coding the black rubbing strips, but they're deffo growing on me!

LCR front splitter!!

Might be a while 'till I can get all of this done, I've also got a mk1 Caddy that I'm converting from a mk1 GTi engine to a 1.8 kr. Its taking forever, lost motivation lol! It'll be a beast one day...


Anyway can anyone think of any essential mods I've missed?

Okay so visited Longlife again today about getting the front half i.e. downpipe and cat, of the exhaust done (already have stainless back-half), I'm considering getting it made with removeable de-cat pipe so I can bolt the old one in once a year... I realise the legal issues here lol, but saves a heap of money!

My question is will it bring up the engine warning light if I go de-cat? Is it worth it; will the Lambda sensor just go crazy with no gains?

yes it will bring on ecl light but will get notiveable gains , driveability is alot better as well
