I guess that is cheap... even with the engine rebuild. Any ideas how they managed to knacker the shell bearings?

My guess is lack of checking oil level , exact same with my previous cupra that came to me with bearing damage , few thousand miles later after the new bearings the crank shat itself

Not a clue Lego, however I've done 7000miles since then and it's never missed a beat and I've changed the oil a fair few times and no real worrying shaving coming out either

Watching your video on youtube you said it sounded like it was getting worse on the drive back you must have caught it early enough , im sure the engineering firm who polished your crank would have alerted you if it was out , nice win for you their

I thought my cupra was cheap but you got a bargain fair play

Still a cracking price, I'm watching your new thread closely to see where it leads
Aha thanks mate

Il take the mk2 journey again with you

Regarding mapping going to r tech is a 100% must absolutely loved my previous mk2 cupra after niki mapped it , im planning on a decent stage 1 with precat and a panel filter/induction kit for now see how the car holds up before i dive lots of cash into it

You should never make the same mistake twice my old build thread is on the readers rides

I'm going to r tech and currently on the waiting list for after lockdown, I've read your old thread a while back watching you rebuild the engine etc which has tempted me to go forged later down the road. When we all next have a meet we should definitely go and have a good chin wag

I pray you never go threw what i did to end up forging it mate , standard engines will handle tte420 power

Sounds a plan mate , let me get mine sorted still getting a p1093 code which is baffling me now

Yeah I plan on keeping this car and eventually having something along side it so that it is purely for tracks and shows, when it gets to that point that is when I want to go full ham on performance and start chasing horsepower

So today challenge was to fit my rns310, so far I have it fitted and working for radio and aux but waiting for a GPS antenna and the sd card I believe I will also need a new can gateway or something but still trying to figure that bit out. But most importantly it looks so much better

Haven't been on here in a while but I've just finished fitting my coilovers and 10mm spacers so car is looking fresh with her new stance. Recently serviced her including fitting cam follower which was miles easier than I thought it was going to be plus just fitted my new 4d reg plates. Just need my stage 2 map after Xmas now and will be happy for about a week haha
