After some advice folks, looking at a 2011 ibiza cupra 1.4tsi with what I beleive to be a cave engine in it . Car had a full engine rebuild with new pistons and revised parts fitted along with a new clutch , car is now on 97k miles , all belts ect changed with engine rebuild . Same guys owned it for 5.5 years and is now selling
Thoughts ?

I got mine same car same mileage Aug 24. Done 3k miles no issues yet. Wicked car and amazing maxed out spec but mine is an ex developer car from Evo magazines and also has a new 2015 upgraded engine. I’d say just be careful about the gearbox. Check full service history and see if it has had a DSG service

Think it has had a dsg service yeah , just worried about the reliability even after having the engine reconditioned with oversized pistons ect , anything specific to check when viewing other than oil usage ect

Hey.

I understand you thoughts. When you hear car has had a lot of work there is a worry it's a lemon. But other side is it has had.all that work done and taken car of. I would seriously take a look at it. Do your usual checks when looking at any second hand car and if it passes those checks. I would go for it.

Mine is an 09 plate so sometimes high mileage is ok.
