Not sure if anyone has done this before, I have a 2011 seat leon with halogen headlights. I a have got a pair of oem headlights, oem bulbs and oem ballasts. The only question that remains is how to do the wiring and coding. Is is possible to connect an adapter into the cars wiring harness and connect the other end into the headlight? I really don't want to cut wires on the car.

As for Vag Com coding, what exactly needs to be done?

Thanks.

Always a grey area with the MOT. It depends on now the MOT tester is with the headlights but basically if the car has the washers and auto levellers fitted then they must work however if not fitted then they can't be tested and thus should not fail the MOT.

Best bet is to speak to your local MOT tester and see what they will say but i think you will be fine...HIDs in standard reflectors will fail as they are too bright and dazzle oncoming drivers but projectors should be fine.

That's great if it is really as simple as that. So no wire cutting at all? Just plug one end of the adaptor from tuning fanatics into the wire harness in the car and the other end into the headlight?
As for the coding, where in the vag com do I tick the xenon option? Will both normal beam and high beam work with this adaptor and the bag com coding?

you will have to change some of the wires around where it plugs into the light and change the plug as the halogens at 4 big pins and xenons dont there all small pins in the plug :)

I take it you didn't read my post...

You seem to be very knowledgeable, I have yet to confirm however if this adapter will allow me to use the high beam also? When I will the lens in the headlight pop up to give me high beams? Or will I need to so some rewiring or cutting of wires for that?

Seems the ebay adaptor posted from tuning fanatics won't offer allow me to you the high beam?
