Hi am looking at buying a mk2 seat leon cupra r stage 2+ from r-tech running 382.2 am trying to hunt down the owner that owned it. The seller is really nice guy and I asked him for a picture of the print out of the map and I got a screen shot from this site with a map from r-tech and he mentioned the person that owned the car owns this website. Its been partly turned into a track car regarding handling modifications + engine. It's speed blue with the standered 19inch wheels sunroof, arm rest and is in the uk. Thanks for any help.

@ktys it may be helpful if you give the first three digits of the number plate as @Jimbobcook and @Legojon motor was certainly more like a track car than the other one. Both were the Blue

These were the two that I had come across Jimbo on the Left and lego on the right (his reg was J70) do you have a link to the picture the previous owner showed you on this site (or have you tried a reverse image search)

I miss my MK2! I didn't have the sun roof so mines out on this occasion. Jon's MK2 was a joy to behold, best colour every created I think, speed blue just works.

Well @Legojon was the owner of the MK2 on the right.
His build thread is https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/bye-fr-hello-speed-blue-mk2-cupra-r.435417/ sadly the pictures are no longer available. He was last online in January so you may have to wait a while.
Much appreciated mate i wonder if the wavetrac diff is still in it as the seller never mentioned that. Am not knocking the person that modified it but I take it how its been modified its at its most reliable it can be?. I always wanted one with the sunroof and arm rest and in speed blue. The only thing that puts me off it is theres 1 key and the miles its on 98k now. I know the key is not a big thing as I can get one cut but its more money.

I have a MK3 and its modified in a similar way (as in big power and supporting mods to fully appreciate the power). If its the same car then all I can tell you is that @Legojon looked after the car very well BUT and its a big BUT, If you push the drivetrain like this you have to expect it will not last as long as a stock car. Further in terms of cost's you would need to advise your insurance company of the modifications and that will increase the cost of insurance and probably you will have to go to a specialist rather than run of the mill companies.

Again if it was the same car it was looked after and serviced at great expense (just check out his build thread) but you are putting the drivetrain under extra stress and nobody can guarantee it wont just go bang, and we have no idea how well the current owner has looked after it (hopefully they can provide bills for all the work done)

Hi.
If you have any issues with insurance at all then please feel free to drop me a line.

Dan.
