Hi All

I have just bought a brand new Seat Ibiza FR 1.2 TSi and expect to take delivery of it in around two weeks. I currently own a 2009 Seat Ibiza 1.2 S A/C. It has the old style (red display) radio and has a USB and Aux. under the centre console - I use this to listen to my iPod whilst driving! What I'd like to know is whether the new radio (white display) is iPod compatible or has USB?

Thanks
Matt :)

As it will come with the SPS, you'll be able to stream the audio via Bluetooth as well

The new radio has an AUX port on the face of it too, the Bluetooth when using an Apple product on the SPS is very unstable if you don't want to use it, but I've been using a micro sd card in my SPS for my music

Agreed, I got a 32gb card from amazon for £12, works a treat and saves the space on my phone!

Interesting, this sounds good - and can you scroll through songs, shuffle etc. with this?

Matthew

Bluetooth with my iphone has worked a dream thus far for me in mine!

Does it work without using the seat portable system playing music though Bluetooth as I have the same on order and confused with how you can play music

Sorry mate, not sure what you're asking here? Do you mean can you still play music via Bluetooth without the SPS?

Oh right okay thanks just my mate has the same car but opted for the sun roof not the sps and he still has Bluetooth but he might but paid more for it so does that mean to have Bluetooth. You need the sps plugged in?

Also when playing music if you plug you iphone /ipod In though aux can you change song though the steering wheel controls and same what about with Bluetooth and any other music methods

Through aux with my 5th gen ipod touch I can't use the wheel mounted controls to change song, only volume

Bluetooth you can change song, (this is on a 63 fr)

So with Bluetooth you can change song with the controls well can you read texts though the Bluetooth and what other things can you do with the Bluetooth

How easy is it to load music on to a micro sd card?
I tried but could not get it to work.

You can do it by using an adapter to plug it into a PC/laptop, or you can have the card in the SPS and connect the whole unit via USB, then the card will appear as a drive on the computer and adding music is a simple drag and drop process

Also, make sure that in the SPS itself you go into 'media player' and select SD as the source (on screen button beside options it will say 'FM' or 'CD' etc) if you haven't already

Is there any aftermarket products to add a USB port to the new fr's? It looks like there is for older seat models?
