just a quick one is anybody running 205 50 r16 tyres at all, and if so are you getting any scrubbing?

looking at getting some winter tyres and they seem to be the easiest size to get hold of

cheers

i run them and no scrubbing at all.i have vrs suspension now but even on my standard set up it wasn't scrubbing.

you will notice the much improved ride and the accurate speedo though :)

Not quite the same, but due to the hassle of sourcing 4 wheels I've got a set of 205/40/17 winters to go on the normal wheels! What wheels are you planning to fit them to out of interest?

This way also has the benefit of not even needing to inform the insurance, as it is just a straight tyre swap!

sorry to hijack thread but can you go from 205 45 16 to 205 55 16? i know speedo will be affected but will the car still drive ok i.e. no rubbing on arches etc. i'm hoping to improve the ride so it is not so crashy on normal roads. thanks vince.:D

I drive 205/50/16 + bilstein b12 kit (lowering 30mm).
the roughness (hills) can beat the arch liner. turn of the wheel does not interfere.
