Hi chaps,

Wee question about tyres...,

Im not a fan of the "bubble" look when it comes to tyres. I have a Leon fr+ with the 17" Cupra R wheels (225/45/17). I know alot of tyres are slightly different, Falkens and Toyo's seem to be slightly thinner tyre giving them a flush look with the wheel which is what im after, Michelins for example give a Bubble look in my opinion..

I have just bought some Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas in 225's (not fitted) but they seem like quite a wide tyre, just wondering how 215/45s would look/feel etc?

Thanks

It would make your speedo read slightly out because the height of the tyre is a percentage of the width.

because if the width is smaller the wall has to lean in meaning it's not vertical anymore.

If you run 215s you could also fit bigger spacers in :)
