I'd say the length won't be an issue, standard length would be fine. As said you'd just need tapered since they're aftermarket. I think I have some in my garage if you wanted them for nowt... if you wanted to drive here, after collecting the wheels? im near manchester

If you don't want them and they're needed that would be great, thanks. Have to drive through the Warrington area to get to them anyway so shouldn't be too far out the way.

How would I know if I needed some? Would they just not fit through and is it just the locking bolts I'd need?

No, you would need to replace all the bolts with tapered ones.
Using the wrong type will result in loose wheels and might also damage the wheels.

Yeah cool. I don't need them.

Tapered are angled and radius (OEM) are rounded bolts. I'll show you the difference if you come ;)

you PM me when your coming :D I am away this monday for a week so next wkend ok? or tomorrow

Just been to have a quick look at what bolts my wheels are on at the moment and to me these don't look like radius or tapered but flat:

Bad picture I know sorry, but its difficult to see past the stupid wheel caps. Just out of interest aswel, what's the massive bolt in the center of the wheel (to the right and slightly down from the wheel nut). That doesn't need removing to take the wheels off no?

Oh sorry, forgot to say, it would be tomorrow.

You can't tell by looking at one fitted to the wheel already. Hopefully this pic shows the difference, it's the part at the end of the thread that is different.

Picked the alloys up today, and it turns out they take radius wheel bolts so the bolts from my standard FR alloys fit with them. The only problem I've noticed is around 70-80mph there's a bit of vibration. Only had this since fitting the wheels so I assume it's from them, any ideas why? The center bore fitted perfectly and flush with the hub and the PCD was correct.

Thanks.

Get them balanced, should sort it

Ah, you don't rekon it's anything else? Bolts too tight/loose? Wasn't sure how tight to do them as I didn't want to damage anything but at the same time I didn't want to see the wheels roll past me on the dual carriageway :D. Any tips?

I was going to pop to Kwick Fit tomorrow anyway to get them to look at them so I'll just ask for a re balance I guess?

Thanks.

Had the two fronts re balanced earlier, £12. One was 175 grams out the other was 50/55 grams out! Mechanic said to test the fronts out first to see if it stops the vibration, no need to do the backs if it does. That correct?
