On a 150 mile trip I do most weeks I get 40mpg on the trip in the LCR (best was about 42)
Thats at 70 all the way on the road angel (74ish on speedo).
I keep at about 60 until it hits 35mpg (around 5-7 miles) Then gradually increase speed on the cruise control over the next few minutes until I get to 70. MPG slowly increases throughout trip until it hits 40 and stops about there.
If I carry on until the tank ran out the computer indicates I can do 500 miles (have done 480 before keeping to 70mph). Makes a big difference to fuel bills sticking to speed limits...
Makes having the odd blast more fun too as you are not so used to it.
