54 MPG!! Im a happy bunny!

On my little jaunt up to scotland i managed to squeeze this out of a tank in the Ibiza.

593.5 miles

54.2 MPG

Plus I wasnt hanging round, although I did go easy on the exit of the tolls on the M6 and Darford, and even let a Cupra R past coming out of some 40mph roadworks.

Cant face going back to petrol now!!! Dundee to Kent non stop, and I still have over a quarter of a tank left

Even I aint getting that in my standard PD130. Average around 50mpg

It was @ 75 ish on the motorway mate. Never seen it that high before, usually around 47 is my best, Which i why im happy. Only booted it twice. Plus I did vent the tank as far as I could.

That's nothing - just filled up my new motor today for the second time, and got roughly 110mpg.
But then with only 125cc and 9bhp that seems a bit disappointing. After all, my Leon Cupra does a quarter of the mpg but gives 20 times the power!

I've sort of converted to the dark side, new car being delivered tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to get a little more out of it than the 25 mpg I'm getting out of my LC at the mo

I currently have my long term average at 49.5mpg which isn't bad I reckon. I averaged 50mpg driving to Blackpool from Devon on Friday, and that was with jaunts off the Mway to get around traffic.

I averaged 47.5 mpg on the way back though - that 2 mpg may have been due to me Vmaxxing it a couple of times on the M5 on my late night drive back.

andy im confused, the range says 575?

and dift, yes nothing like a long journey for a TDI to really show what its capable of.

I was on holiday last week, brimmed it before setting off. After 150 miles on m-way getting to the destination, my range was showing 780 miles = 930 miles total.

Just shows how much a resistor mod can throw it out! Mind you, over the holiday I did my first ever genuine measured 50mpg tankful (Passat sport, tank is 13.6 gallons)

Range is 575 plus trip of 170. Just after a fill (and reset (2) ) I think it calculates from your last MPG so this should be more accurate...

I assume the tank on the leon is bigger than the Ibiza?
I cant get my range to read more than 450 ever.

IIRC I managed around 690 in my remapped Mk4 Sport TDI, then someone else beat me with just over 700....

On a 110 mile trip back from surrey on the bank holiday, i averaged 55 mpg. I havent done it over a tank et though. Today on the way back from work though, i averaged 19 mpg over about 10 miles.So it can either be echonomical, or drink fuel like a petrol

i reckon i could beat 700 if i purposefully went out and did a really long motorway trip and cruised it. My current best is about 650 but thats only about 50% motorways.

Our Tanks are 9.9 Gallons. 54x9.9 = 534 Miles

So you basically got 10.9 gallons in?! Is the pipe really over a gallon in size and how the hell did you have the confidence to run it that low!! Most ive ever put in was 46 after venting and the needle going under the red line.

Thats pretty hardcore!

Im yet to see over 400 out of mine, it should be given some abuse every day once warm to keep it runnin sweet imo.
