56 plate ibiza 1.9 tdi questions......

I have a 56 plate 1.9tdi sport and have a few questions:

1) should there be a plastic civer over the engine? - there is in the similar built skoda fabia tdi's

2) should the steering wheel controls illuminate?

1) Maybe not... new build Ibiza MK4's dont seem to have engine covers .

2) Nope, im afriad not, mine doesnt, they never have, and never will, until the MK5 at a guess.

im almost sure it should have a engine cover over it go back to seat or were ever u bought it from and have a look at the ones they have there have u got any pictures of it ~?~

My Jan '07 1.9 TDi DAB doesn't have the engine cover either. I did query it and was told it was a SEAT cost cutting measure. I really don't find it a problem and everything is a lot easier to see.

ohh i see see course my air filter is in the engine cover... i forgot the Tdi's was seperate...

AFAIK it's only the 1.4 that has the airbox in the engine cover

my 20vt is the same setup as the tdi

Do the 56, 07 plates have a boot light or glove box light?

only if it says so in the brosure.. i havent got a boot light in my 1.4 only glovebox.. i only know of the stylance having both in the new cars...

My TDi Sport '56 has a boot light but no glovebox .
