not going into 5th, common problems dropping from 4th the 3rd though. Some have relaced syncromesh, some have left alone as it doesn't always get any worse. Imo opinion it's a crap box all round. (awaits abuse

no its only in 5th the strange thing is when i do a fast change from 4th th 5th i dont hear it

Mine also whines like a bitch in first, if you accelerate then put clutch down at like 20,30mph but leave it in first, can barely hear yourself think! lol, I know most cars tend to whine a bit but never had it as loud as my leon!
