I have had over 500 out of her before, I dont see why the 600 is not possible over a single run.
It's the stopping and starting that kills the economy. mpg readout was 44.7 at the end of the journey.

However slow and far I drove, my lcr would not average 44 to the gallon! No chance.
Did you reset that when the car was warmed up and on the motorway or is that from cold/home?

i dont see where you get 640+ miles from.
44.7mpg based on 55 litres will give 540 miles. even if you really push it and use 58 litres it wont break 600.
If you know how to drive slowing and accelerating (but not stopping) can get you better mpg than a set speed. - i get better mpg using the a1 north with roundabouts than the m1..
It is very good mpg, particularly at 65mph... lets hope you have not converted it to kms...

I find it very hard to believe that you can manage over 500mls out a tank on an LCR. I have a fiesta 1.6 Zetec S tdci that can barely do that.
ive got 479 from a tank and if id really run the fuel down rather than filling up with 10 miles of the low fuel light i am sure 500 miles is possible. Most people really dont have a good idea of what efficient driving is.
However, it is amazing how cars vary, i had a cupra and there was no way in hell i could get anywhere near 500 miles from a tank.
Many people say oh i get 37 mpg at 80.. but then act like your a moron when you say you routinely get 430 miles from a tank. - so which is it? do you get 37 mpg on the motorway at 80 or not?

I just about manage 600 in my fr TDI 150 and that will consist of mainly motorway runs so I can't see a LCR being able to do it, otherwise I would of bought one.
ignore anything the range in tank tells you past 3/4 of a tank
there is no way on earth an LC/LCR will hit 600+ on a tank
physically on a full tank without touching the turbo from a lesser LC i managed 420 full to empty and my god what a boring 60mph drive that was

I filled the tank full, using the venting method and reset the trip computer. This morning I drove to 117.2 miles. After this distance the trip computer showed I still had a range of 515 miles.
Giving the total range of the tank as 632.2 miles if I had carried on.
trip to empty will say 515, but i can guarantee that if you had kept driving at one point it would drop drastically,
I can brim mine, it'll say 415 miles to empty for a good 100 miles odd without changing, but after that 100 miles it'll drop quicker than you realise, the range to empty is only accurate up to 100 miles ish left in tank ive found.
Be nice to get 600+ from a a 1.8t, but ts not physically possible,
Hell, i'll even food process every part of my car and eat it with a running commentary on youtube if you manage it !

I know it drops more quickly on the last 1/4 of the tank I've had the car from new and done over 88,000 miles. But I also know how to drive the car to get the best (and worst!) economy from it
