ok wot was so drastic that happend between 95 and 96 except the bumpers lol... its still a mk2 ibiza 2.0L 8v and has 115bhp right.. different engine.. mines a 2AE? i think out the mk3 golf Gti?

was all the underneath redone, as my big problem is all the nice stainless steel catback/ or full systems i find are all for 96 onwards! i have a few hundred to play with although the less spent the better lol! i dont wanna go get a custom made up as in experiance these are alot more expensive and time consuming..

the bumpers, grill, wings were all different. the ariel was moved. there were a few interior changes i.e handles that was about it really. as far as exhaust goes the fitting is exactly the same on both pre-facelift and facelift models. there are plent of discussions on here about exhausts just do a search

as far as I know, yes. I have a supersprint zaust on mine which was listed on the s/s website as 96-99. (I have a 95 8v GTi) So I don't see any problems.

There is a very slight difference between the 93 - 95 and the 96 onwards exhausts - in the way that the tail pipe exits the silencer. The early car had a cut out in the rear valance meaning that the tail pipe could exit from the centre of the silencer. The later car had no cut-out so the tail pipe had to exit from the bottom of the silencer to clear the rear valance.

So you can fit a 96 -> to a 93-95 car, but the tail pipe might look a bit strange as it will hang quite low. You may be able to adjust things with the exhaust rubbers, though.

You can't fit a 93-95 exhaust to a 96-> car as the pipe will foul the rear valance - unless you cut a hole in it.

Hope that makes sense.

Telford ay it...
its a funny old game, mines a what i call a mid facelift.
Full bumpers, arial hole blanked off with bee sting on the roof, facelift interior and sexy purple paint ;)

My standard back box had to be posted to the garage and cost me a fortune [:@] there wasnt a cat listed for it either.

exhausts also have different mounts some side to side others forward and back

dont panic though they both bolt in the same so when you fit new ones ;) you can change if required

watch bore size but again there's way round it - 16v bore means a mk3 20vt bolts straight on
