94 cordoba fuel problem!

need help with a 94 seat cordoba! fuel pump stoped working so replaced with second hand one, car ran fine then when i installed a brand new pump the car ran fine for 20 min now the pump has stoped working again. there is no power to the pump only to the fuel guage and the electronic fuel pump fuse is fine!! what could be goin on???

I'm pretty sure there's a fuel pump relay for that, it might be worth a little search either through here or google as to where it's located. It's quite possible that it's a bit knackered and maybe getting hot then switching itself off which could explain why it ran for 20mins.

^ Agreed. Switch the fuel pump relay out for another one, use genuine parts only and see what happens
