Hi, I have a 2006 Leon FR TDI 170.

Engine light came on.

Two codes have come up......

Can someone please tell me what they are?

Many thanks

What tool did you use to read these codes? I.e. are they generic OBD2 or VAG-COM error codes?
Did you check your fusebox?

Hi, I used the handheld U281 UIFTECH Code Reader. Purchased off ebay!

And TFM wasn't helpful I guess (from their product page): "identifying, locating and checking out trouble causes with attached user's manual".

Ross-Tech has a WiKi which gives some info on the 1650 code. Couldn't find anything on 4723 though.

(unfortunately I'm to much of a noob to give you the links, 9 posts to go)

The code reader I have is the U281 hand-held Reader.

Plugged it in again today and this time had these 3 codes logged:

01650
01652
05491

The manual which comes with the code reader doesnt show these codes... aagghh!

Still difficult to find the right description if it not sure which error code is displayed. As per RT wiki:
"17058/P0674/001652 - Cylinder 4 Glow Plug Circuit (Q13): Electrical Fault
Possible Symptoms

No Pre-Glow Period
Poor Cold Starting

Possible Causes

Glow Plug Wiring faulty
Glow Plug faulty

Possible Solutions

Check Glow Plug Wiring
Check Glow Plug "

1650 is cyl. 2 glow plug.
Couldn't find anything on 5491...

But as per gerritspeek.nl 1652 could also mean this: 01652: Airbag cut-off switch, driver's side
And planetvag.com gives this for 1652: Please check DTC Memory of transmission ECU

Does the manual give any info on what type of codes are displayed?
