hey guys!

Picking my leon up next week, cannot wait! Will be wanting to change a few things straigh away like short ariel etc.

Could you guys and girls give me a helping hand to make a list of what things people usually change straight away and also some links would be good e.g. link for an ariel that will fit and so on.

Just wanting to change the little things first as will be on a budget for the first month!

So far Im thinking:

short ariel
brake caliper paint
foot rest
sill guards
some 3m carbon wrap for bits and bobs (interior)

Could you post some links for the best carbon vinyl to get also?

Thanks so much guys :)

quite a few people have had the Citroen C2 stubby aerial.

Halfords or Hammerite brake calliper paint (i think)

People like to install some CANBUS LEDs to replace the sidelights and number plate bulbs, also DRLs if you have them.

also, add a SEATCUPRA.NET sticker, gives you an extra 10BHP ;)

Sweet thanks mate! do the LED lights give errors? are they just a straight swap? and yeah i forgot about the scn stickers I have already ordered those!

First thing is to turn off that stupid fog light cornering function.
I hear about this alot but keep forgetting to look into it, What does it do and how do i turn it off?

The LEDs can give errors, yes. Just search the forum to find ones that are okay, theres always people talking about it, for example nath. posted a link to some drls and sidelights on his thread about his new car in the mk2 section :) They are a straight swop though!

straight swap and quite bright too much better than the standard replacement smd bulbs and you have no bulb out warnings either.

you'll just have to get matching interior ones I've used 36 smd panels 2x for rear 1x for front 2x forward facing 501/w5w for map lights and 2x festoon style for vanity mirror lights can't remember size though. just be careful when swapping as i went through 2x 15 amp fuses while changing interior ones lol

You don't need to spend £30 on reg plate LED's. There are no can bus friendly festoon ones that I know of but all you need is some £2 38mm SMD festoon bulbs. You can then use scotchlocks to put a resistor across the 2 wires for each bulb. Or you can go to a scrap yard, cut off 2 sidelight bulb hoders from any car you feel like and scotch lock those across quite close to the proper bulb holder, when poked up inside the bumper the bulb will have space to shine away and get warm just like a resistor and you can not see any light from the bulb.

38mm festoon LEDs and resistors poked up inside the bumper all for under a fiver
