just got a few questions regarding my seat Leon Fr 2007.

1) Is a DPF delete just the software eg. map with dpf lights turned off etc Or where the DPF is actually taken out and fitted with a downpipe?

2) My car is Standard at the moment performance wise, how would you go with getting it from 170bhp to 220bhp?

3) will i need to upgrade my clutch and how much torque can my clutch handle at the moment?

4) Can i fit a milltek downpipe and then travel to ***** to get it re-mapped?

5)I have read that ***** performance is brilliant with there maps and really considering to get mapped my *****, also do they do a Economy map to save fuel?

DPF Delete needs to be Hardware and Software

to get a true 220bhp you need to be looking at Stage2+ which is very smokey! Stage 2 will get you around 215bhp (mine made 216)

Just be warned i have learned the hardway, the first chap that put the software on my car after dpf del coded out all the engine warning lights?? So if there was a problem i would never know about it untill it broke down!! I now have sh**k sorting the map for me :)
It was a chap who is on this site too!!

Hmm OK, is stage 2 smokey? I wouldn't mind 215bhp will S.H.A.R.K do both hardware & software?

I think I won't be going anywhere else from what I have read about S.H.A.R.K are really good so I'm going them.

Anyone know how much torque the standard clutch can take?

Cheers

***** do both Hardware and Software

I ran for 2 years on Standard Clutch + Flywheel with no problems at all,you need to learn to drive a Diesel properly though or else you could break them very easily

I fitted an Organic clutch + SMF though eventually just to be safe

Curious how you would consider driving a diesel "properly". Genuine question as I have never driven diesel before as my daily.
Other than the obvious constraints on the merits of revving the t1ts off a diesel...

Safer way to drive a diesel is not to let the engine labour in a high gear up an incline at say 1500 rpm. I'm guilty of it, lazey driving, and hovering the engine revs in and around the region were the turbo can surge. The standard control mechanisms aren't good enough to completely isolate the turbo from unwanted forces. At the other end of the scale is revving the engine too far and the ecu maybe asking the engine for more power than the turbo is capabile of flowing air for. This could cause the turbo to overspeed.

Unfortunately the DSG does tend to leave it in stupid gears when going uphill. I never understood why, with all the insane tech in the box, they didn't bother with a gyroscope to measure angle and take that into the gear calculations.

So whenever it's hilly, I take it into paddle mode. Same went for the old TFSI.
It seems even more pronounced in the diesel.

Yeh ie...

If your doing 60 on motorway in 6th and want to overtake, drop it down to 5th then put pedal down, by putting it down in 6th it puts alot of strain on the box

I thought there might of been some tricks of the trade I didn't know about.
But no... just don't be a douche and listen to what the engine is telling you... as usual.

Yeah I tend not to boot it under 2000rpm as it is and always drop gear when overtaking, I'm thinking of a stage 2 dpf delete from s.h.a.r.k, anything else I should know about before I make an enquiry?
