Hopefully this week i will be picking up a cupra 280 dsg and just have a few questions

1) what type of fuel should i run it on? i.e shell v power/nitro plus(whatever it is called) or tesco super unleaded or BPs premium fuel. Ive got alot of petrol stations nearby but been reading different things etc

2) Does the dsg gearbox need a separate service/oiling or something? Sorry not had an auto before but again something i came across so some clarification would be great(if so cost involved and how often etc)

3) for general servicing do most peole just do the seat minor service every 10k? Or should i just go for the 20k major service?

Cheers

For 2 and 3 previous guy is spot on, I've had mine serviced after around 10k.

As for fuel, I always used to use Tesco 99 on my previous tuned MINI and it ran really well. The Cupra seemed fine on the Tesco 99, however it was only after I read on here someone saying when monitoring the engine timing it wasn't running well.

So tried VPower Nitro, didn't feel any different but oddly I managed 290 miles where on the Tesco 99 I was getting more like 260 a tank. Thought it may of been a fluke as one tank of gas can't make that much of a difference so quickly surely.

However 12 months on I regularly get around 290-300 miles on v power. My record is 360 miles, but that was on a long drive mostly motorway with minimal stopping or 60mph a roads.

So for me it's v power.
