hi, im having a few probs with my leon cupra 1.8t and am after some help if pos.

No.1

I seem to have a loud droning noise coming from my front left wheel area which gets louder when i turn to the right? had a look this wknd as my first thoughts were the bearings, but after checking the wheel and giving it a good shake it dosent ssem to have much movement in the wheel therefore indercating that although thay may not be 100% there not on there last legs. Also i understand that the bearings have to be pressed out with hydraulics. there for not a 5min job.
Has anyone had a problem with this or has anyone any suggestions. (oh yeah pads and discs are all ok)

As i was checking the left wheel i thought id check out the right side wheel and as i was doing so i noticed that there was some fresh oil collecting on the bottom of the flat section of the intercooler pipe which can be seen from the inside of the wheel arch. And then it dawned on me that i do seem to be topping up the oil alot more of late. Is it possible that it could be coming from the turbo and excuse the silly question but also the cause of me keep topping the oil up.
Im always pretty keen on checking the road if iv been parked up and have not to yet ever see any leaks left on the road. So this much just be a small leak?

Any help would be most appricated.

sounds like wheel bearing if it alters pitch when under load
yes they do need pressing in and out
oil leaks are common from intercooler pipes
check for blue smoke on overun also you could remove the pipe to turbo and check for play in shaft
