Well after 18 months of brilliance and smiles from ear to ear, track days and a perfect all rounder i have decided to go to a Golf R.

My current setup is

APR stage 2 Higher output file
DSG map 2.3 file
Full BCS Exhaust with 100 cell Motorsport cat
VWR lowering springs
034 Motorsport billet transmission insert
BFI engine mount and transmission mount
APR Muffler Delete
Neuspeed High Flow Discharge Pipe
Forge FMIC
Forge Boost pipes
Forge Carbon Induction
Ultra Racing Tunnel Brace
Ultra Racing front Strut Brace
Ultra Racing Rear under Strut Brace

The car is a monster and has huge amounts of grip but i want to move to stage 3 and with the car moving into the 500hbp area the car needs to be 4WD.
All the kit on the Leon will transfer to the golf apart from the exhaust Which will be up for sale soon and the R arrives in September when i will be speaking to VRS again as they have a larger turbo setup arriving soon.

I have had 3 Leon Cupra's in my time mk1, mk2 and now the mk3 which i have loved from start to finish, Unfortunately the modifying bug is a curse i carry and more power an AWD setup is required.

Can you not port the 4WD system to the Leon? I know others have with the older versions...

Regardless, the R is a great car. Good luck!

I hear ya, after nearly ordering an edition 40, ive decided to wait until the facelifted RS3 order books open, hoping for better colours than the pre-fl.

Are you buying the R new? If you havent already bought it, id say wait a few months, the new LCD screen stuff for the dials has to be coming soon, its on the FL A3 and the way the VW salesmen was pushing me to get the ED40, I could tell a change is coming this summer...

from what i have been told the face lift type change wont be until beginning of 17 and the R due in id 18,

The Deal i got on the R is crazy so happy with that.

The car should be MY17 according to the salesman and the due build week is in and around 34 so should pickup any changes.

I can understand why you want too. I'm considering doing this with my 280. Maybe an RS3 :p you can only do so much with FWD before it gets too much

I fancy swapping my mk2 Cupra to a mk3 Cupra
Not keen on the shape far to boring
Going for a mk7 golf Gti as look so much nicer

Yes even mapped the Cupra will always be quick 370 bhp
The Gti with stage 2 will do 330 bhp
The Cupra just doesn't look special enough to me

You can buy mine Northy :)

Yeah Jaba, who knows with these things, I suppose you can't live your life waiting for next thing. I wouldn't care about the exterior changed but that screen is a must for me, it's on the toureg and Passat now I think, golfs gotta be next!
