Hi, while going through my modules on my Odbeleven device I've noticed my abs module is coded for a diesel engine with rear sport shocks and no trans selected.

Car in question is an Ibiza Bocanegra which is a petrol, automatic and rear sports shocks (going off the drop down selection menu).

I have tried to login with security access but all codes tried are invalid, I have tried to select correct engine etc but keep getting function unavailable (22) marginal conditions not met.

How much will the incorrect coding effect braking/pedal feel if at all?

Abs pump is a bosch 8.2i front, I've seen a retrofit to a 9.0 can be done with coding and repinning the connector, this would allow for me to select 312mm disc also as 8.2 doesn't support this (but not a major concern).

I havn't got access to the PR code and Ross Tech wiki doesn't have any information on my plaform to generate a login code either.

Any suggestions as a route forward with my current abs?

Thanks

Afraid I don't know the answer but couple points that may help.

Firstly the long coding labels in OBD11 Are user created so can be wrong for example my ABS From Factory shows Vehicle Type as 33F24A401 and a long string of bits if that is where you are seeing incorrect values

Is your Bocanegra on the MQB Platform if so the best list of access codes can be found here https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/19270/

Are you aware that security access codes can be locked down (sorry if you knew this already), if you try with incorrect codes to many times the system locks down. All you have to do is turn off and wait for a while and it unlocks again.

Have you tried changing "CHANGE SERVICE" to EOL as I seem to recall some things require different settings to work but dont have any examples I am afraid.

On my setup you can change the brake booster force in Adaptations

I have a big brake kit fitted to my Leon and the ABS does not have the size shown (as it was not designed for it) and like you have been using in on the track for many years with no issues.

@serdar_18fr do you have access to systems to provide full set of PR Codes.

Yes I am aware of the lock out onnthe codes, I'm pre mqb platform.
I know have activated hill hold and xds settings in the past and don't recall needing the access code, I'm guessing long coding is different.

Ok, Thanks. Much appreciated

Brakes were a 288 front from factory

Hi again,

Full set of PR codes for your car is in the attached ZIP file as a Microsoft Word document.
Forum software does not allow attaching *.docx files, so I had to compress it to a ZIP file.
If you can't open *.zip or *.docx files, I can save it in another format and resend.

Hope it helps & cheers,
Serdar

Although this gives me the brake PR code it does not help in generating a security code to login into abs module as I've nothing to reference the codes against, thanks all the same

It’s likely your ABS coding is absolutely fine and the labels are incorrect.
