ABS Problem after fitting spacers

I realised my front wheels were rubbing on the insides of my arches on full lock so I ordered some 5mm spacers from DPM couple of weeks ago to push them away. Had a delivery from euro car parts??? at the end of the week with my spacers and longer wheel bolts. Fitted them yesterday and as soon as I tried to move the car the wheels squealed so I stopped (moved no more than a foot) and I guessed the bolts must be too long. Put the old bolts in and took the car up the road to check everything was alright but I'm now having some strange ABS issues. Car brakes fine down to about 10mph when the pedal vibrates horribly and I lose almost all braking.

Scanned the car with vagcom (cheers Owen) and no codes came back. Anyone got any ideas as to what is likely to be damaged before I book the car into the garage?

Oh, and the damage the wheels were causing to the arches.

£40 to £50 each!! GSF only want £13. Would there be any problem using non-genuine ones? Think I'll be using my 1.4 until next month if so and they're that much.

The weird thing was I ordered the spacers from DPM and the delivery came from eurocarparts.

:lol:I don't understand how that's happend though?? have the bolts pushed the ring into the sensor? if so your rings will probably be shot too

I guess that's what's happened. You can see from the way they've split that they've been ripped by the wheel turning. I span them round to check the rings expecting them to be mullered but couldn't see any damage on them.
