I thought the ABT was a secondary tuning box, similar to DTUK? If it is then it would elevate the standard 300 to the ABT R spec of 345bhp. Still less than a Revo and undoubtably dearer but if it protects the warranty then it’s a good option

I’m pretty certain the 300 would get in the region of 365-370hp. The GPF 290 would come in at around 345-350hp.

Was just going by what the Cupra R ABT is claimed at

I wasnt doubting your information at all.

When the ABT pack was announced it was initially claimed as 365-370hp, as it was quoted for a non GPF car ie the CUPRA 300. It was then revised for the GPF CUPRA 290.

If it was available as an add on for the CUPRA 300, I would be tempted as when I had mine on the Unicorn Dyno in November it returned 308hp as stock (over the 296hp expected) so I would see a nice increase I would think.

I’ve never Dyno’d my R ST but myself and 2 others (so 3 seperate R ST ABT’s) have recorded the following 0-60 valid time’s with the Dragy app.
4.09 (me)
4.10
4.10

The other 2 guys listed there results on a Facebook group and I’ve seen them in the Dragy app, all valid.

4.10 secs is significantly faster than a stock car I would imagine 4.5secs perhaps ??

My standing 1/4 mile time is 12.38secs.

So yeah I’d say the ABT box is great if you can get it for £500

I did try to get out of SEAT UK MD why they went with ABT in the end when they have Racingline (Volkswagen Racing) who are a Tier 1 supplier to VW Group UK on their doorstep (less than half a mile away)

The answer was basically because VW Germany has used/uses ABT.
