Thanks mate! That sounds expensive and a lot of work. How much does a heater matrix cost? Should I try first without exchanging the heater matrix? probably better just buying a seat warmer from usb or smoke adapter? Do you think I can do the flushes myself or do I need a mechanic for that? Saw a video sometime ago from Chris fix it where he flushes only the tubes going to the heater matrix. Problem is I don’t which tubes do that in my car and if the problem is the silicone, the coolant reservoir has to be exchanged ( recon that shouldn’t be too expensive)
First you need to have a check.
So if you can locate the two coolant hoses that go through the firewall in the engine bay to the heater matrix have a feel of these hoses. If one is hot and one is cold then you have a blockage in the matrix / big air lock. Thats 1st thing to check.
But yeah changing a matrix is a PITA usually a dash out full day job
