Hi everyone,

Twice this week now my AC has been turning on by itself when it is off. It automatically switches to 22deg with AC one, it sticks at I think 2nd or 3rd power, and will occasionally power up to full speed and then after a few secs come back down to 2 or 3. It usually won't let me turn it on or off or even adjust it when this happens. But sometimes little while later I can adjust it again.

If I turn the AC on myself to a particular temp it will randomly switch back to 22deg as above and behave as above.

I can still operate the radio and other buttons (except those which control the AC) when this happens.

Any ideas? I know the headunit costs a hell of a lot to replace :S

I have a Y reg Seat Ibiza S 1.4

Thanks

hi everyone still having this problem its getting worse now, on almost all the time, and will occasionally flash off and then on again after short while, any recommendations?

thanks

right checked out fuses under steering wheel, if fuse 30 (heater) is removed then the AC stops running. If i remove the radio and AC fuse, but leave in the heater fuse 30 the fans will continue to run and ignition is started.

So have taken out fuse 30 for now, til I can take car to garage,

what is wrong with the electrics in this car, first the central locking (still not fixed, even the dealers couldn't work it out, suggested I buy a new ECU at a crazy cost), the radio also went mad (£70 to fix through ebay) and now the AC!!!

if anyone has any idea/suggestions would be very grateful

thanks

Mine does this every now and again and when the fans are on and you press down fans speed up? weird ! Bit like i say it only happens now and again so I've got used to it, just it's character I suppose

When I turn it from the windscreen to the vents on the dash it sometimes turn my ac on which is rather annoying but I never really use it and when it's stopped working or ran out Its going
