accelerator pedal

My father drove my car the other day and said there seems to be an inch of play before the throttle engages. Never noticed this myself before. Now i see what he means. Is this normal on the cars or do i need the cable adjusting

no cable I don't think as it's electronic

my advice is leave well alone

Fair enough, but isn't the pedal still a mechanical object with a cable somewhere??

Its connected directly to a potentiometer so no cable...just pivots on the potentiometer
