Advice on buying an amp

I might be buying one off a guy on this very forum (an Alpine MRV T-303, for £40), but as I'm not sure if this is going through, is there any other kind of amp I could be looking for?

I'm looking to spend under £100, and I'd rather buy something good and second hand than second-rate and new.

For the minute it's going to be powering my stock front speakers (in a mk3 Ibiza), with a view to upgrading to components when I can.

Alpine MRV T-303 is 35watts at 4ohms, and if you are going to upgrade to components then these will require alot more power than 35watts.

35w RMS at 12v and 50wRMS at 14v. That'll run a set of components fine.
