Hi all, looking to finally get my LCR mapped. Been looking at Revo as they seem good just a bit on the expensive side. If it's worth it I don't mind paying for the extra. I know garages that will do it for £300? Can anyone shed some light on what would be the best option for me please?

ive just booked in with CC on the 3rd sept for stage 2 £386 carnt gumble myself, i looked at revo i enjoyed the aggressive map but would prefere the progessive map, All down to choice mate how u drive ect ect

APR Stage 2 on mine and love it! Still pulls hard in 5th and 6th!
Its a hard choice mate, too many options out there.

Good luck,
Dean

I'm guessing whatever I decide to get I'll be happy. Just looking to get alot more power, Revo dealer in Bristol said he would expect me to gain up to 265bhp which I would be happy with, not sure how true that figure is. Can anyone recommend a good place to go in the south west area? I just need to decide what to do! :confused:Thanks.

I've just booked in with P-Torque, many good reviews on here (as there are with other Tuners too lol) but they're the closest to me and I've had discussions with them and been to their premises and I'm happy for them to have my car.

They're in the Midlands though bud, about 1.5 hours from Bristol. Be worth the trip there and back mind!

Trip back will be fun Ape [B)]

I have been looking at P-Torque myself.

What stage are you having and do they recommend any other mods?

It makes little or no difference which stage 1 map you choose. Some say that they tailor the map to the car at the time of remapping but I'm pretty sure that they're all just generic codes.

I'll be trying the CC VVT Attack for Stage 2 or Jabba Sport.

For reference though, my AMD Stage 1 made 268bhp last and stays consistent with that figure when doing road logs from time to time.

So do you think wherever I go I'll get the same map on a stage 1? Meaning watever the price I pay I will get the same performance? Where did you get the AMD map and how costly was that? Cheers.

im fairly sure he got the AMD remap at AMD. (thurrock essex, right my lakeside shopping) :)

I will also say that where a maper says they will tailor the map to you they wont be doing a one off map or anything, they will simply make 1 or two small changes to the generic map. Much like any changes you make using an sps controller with revo.

CC
p torque
revo
APR
AMD

you wont go wrong with these..

although another to consider is Forge. not really a mapper thats caught on for SCN, but forge has a fantastic reputation and customer service is spot on.
Im sure i have seen them say to people if you get there map and are not happy they will remove and refund no questions.

But honestly, whatever figures they put up and however these differ, i dont think there is alot in it between each.

Haha thanks buddy, I should think bit more before I ask questions. Thanks for the help. I'll have to have a little shop around for some prices and figure how far I want to travel.

Any where decent in the north west for a re-map as im after getting mine done too.

You'll probably hit between 250 & 260bhp with any of the maps to be honest, the only difference really being in how the power is delivered. Some remaps program most of their power to come in from spool up to 5000rpm, others let the power build up gradually throughout the whole rev range.

One car will take differently to a remap than the next so no two cars will ever be the same but with Stage 1, you really can't go wrong, just make sure that you use a reputabler tuner :)

Ok thanks for the help mate you cleared it all up for me, I'll be looking forward to getting the extra power, just got to get it booked in somewhere now. Another question, I have a forge 007p recul valve and a BMC CDA induction kit would you recommened anyother upgrades before I get the remap or will that be fine for the time being?

I'd recommend getting a silicone turbo inlet pipe, the OE one has a habit of splitting and collapsing under full boost.

They're not cheap mind you, £100+ for a Forge but some members say good things about a company called Autobahn88 who are alot cheaper.

Why are you not going AMD stage 2 mate?

I'm waiting for more VVT Attack LCR's, but then my car seems to have something else with it which needs doing each month and is delaying mapping. Jabbasport does seem a decent bet for strong figures. Dan(s1 pru's lcr) is proof of this..

Anyone out there want to post some stage 2 AMD map thoughts and figures?

I don't know anyone using and AMD Stage 2 to be honest so I have no idea what it's like. I guess I could be the guinea pig but what if I hate it?

Same mate. Meant to be smoother and more progressive than the Revo that AMD also sell down there.

Feel free to be the guinea pig. Could save you and I both a big drive north to CC HQ! Can't imagine you'll hate it.
